Have you tried to disable Origin overlay to see if that fixes the issue?
(Make sure to disable it globally in the settings of Origin & the settings of the game itself via right-click on the game tile in Origin > Game settings.)
I just redownloaded BFV after a few months off and I am having the same issue as the people in this thread are having. I click play in origin, game looks like itโs launching, then it crashes and origin just pops up again like I didnโt click anything. I tried all the troubleshoots listed and nothing has worked. BF4 and BF1 launches normally. This only started happening when I tried out the EA Play trial. It upgraded me to the definitive version of BFV, but after a week or something I cancelled the EA Play subscription and it put me back on the standard edition. This is when the issue arose.

Hey @KrispyGFX,
Cheers for mentioning it here in the thread.
You can try to reach out to our EA Live Support team to ask if they might be able to take a look at your account to see if they can spot something that might be causing this for you. I have the feeling that in your situation, the EA Play membership has overwritten something that is now causing this issue for you. - 4 years ago
Gotcha, but I forgot to mention that it also upgraded my BF4 to the premium version and also BF1 and those games give me no issues, only BFV for some reason. I've reached out to EA Help and just waiting for a response right now.

@KrispyGFX, cool, feel free to update the thread if you have more updates to share. ๐ - 4 years ago
Soooo I was contacting EA Live Support for like 4 hours last night and like an hour this morning and they were just useless. Everyone I contacted just ran the same troubleshooting things and my game still doesn't work. I've pretty much given up hope that my BFV will work.

@KrispyGFX, I am very sorry to hear that you had this experience with the EA Live Support. However, I am afraid that we are unable to help with this, most likely, account-related issue here via the forums, as this is a public space. I would recommend giving it another try, maybe via the EA Help Twitter or Facebook teams? - 4 years ago
Yep, I just emailed EA support again, this time I included a video of the bug. I've probably run through every troubleshooting method with them, a representative even gave me a new copy of the game and it still doesn't work. Hopefully, they can try something else that'll work.

Just though I share my story that worked for me. So I've downloaded BF v, last night game wouldn't launch. Same as everyone else press play few sec later nothing happens and that's it. I've tried loads of steps clear cache, reinstall game and origin as well amongst others. For some reason when I tried to fix the game with repair tool it asked if game worked before and suggested run as administrator and out of curiosity I've selected run game with Windows 8 compatibility. And so far it works tried few times to restart game and pc as well. So don't know how or why but Windows 8 and run as admin compatibility seems it fix for now.

@YokaiFury, thanks for sharing that information! Glad to hear that this workaround worked for you.
May I ask what the original Windows version is that you're playing on? - 4 years ago
It's a Windows 10 I am playing with win 8 compatibility

I have encountered same problem. Game is not launching at all, Origin/EA Desktop -> Click Play -> Nothing happens. Before this problems I have bought Xbox Game Pass, then i wanted to try BF V but... I havn't had a chance - until yesterday. I have tried all sort of stuff that should help, but as in your case it didn't help.
I don't know if it's important, but i pushed myself to even buy BF V individually (with Game Pass & EA Play discount ~ 5$).
I've come up with last thought - "what if my wifes PC Account works - it would be super dumb".
Well, it worked! (BF V was also working via GeforceNow...)
To ensure myself i deleted her account (she isn't using it anyway so whatevah) and tried again on mine, again it failed. Tried again all steps from fixing guides - no luck.
I created new local account on my PC named "TestForBF" - it worked (but after that my main account is still refusing to launch this game - but yeah, i'm allowed to play anyway)
PS. Oh and on that second account i dont need to set admin rights, compatibility and other stuff.

Hey @Aron941,
Yeah so this sadly means that there's something on that specific Windows admin account that it blocking the game from launching correctly. The question is, however, what exactly.
Have you tried to perform a clean boot already for that specific Windows account?

Hi,
Yes, this was the one of the first things i've tried. Situation was the same. Additionally i've been tracking if process is even starting on my usual account. And yes, it did appear in Task Manager for few seconds and then its just closed. No error, no message, Origin / EA App are behaving like nothing happened. I have no idea what is blocking this process but i disabled antivir also but it havn't had any effect. I have' deleted all stuff in registry in registry that had something to do with BF V, Origin or EA Desktop (after uninstalling them). Another installation also didn't help to solve this. Can't find anything in Event Viewer... Is there any tool that can track logs for Battlefield or Origin? I would love to know what is blocking this software from launching.
Regs,
Aron

@Aron941, can you post a fresh new DxDiag by any chance? Maybe I can see if something changed in the meantime.

Sorry for late response, I am attaching DxDiag file You asked.
Additionally i would like to add that i am launching normally Fifa22, Dead Space and NFS (2016) - only problem is with battlefield on my main account.

@Aron941, it is indeed very odd why your main Windows user account refuses to launch the game, while it works just fine on other Windows accounts. This indeed points towards something that is installed under your main Windows user account, that is probably blocking the game from launching.
I didn't spot any oddities in the new DxDiag file. The only thing I noticed is that you have a slightly outdated Nvidia driver installed. Maybe you can update the driver and give it another try? - 3 years ago
Here too.
Since todayy BF 3 , BF5 and BF1 wont launch.
Not over Origin not over EA APP.
Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 23 are working fine
