@mrnoob14, alright. And can you see if you can install Origin again to see if you still get the same issue?
You can still download Origin via this website: http://www.dm.origin.com/download. - 3 years ago
How does a critical error like this can still exist for like months maybe even years?
i have the same issue. I bought the game when i had ea play for 12 months and i couldnt play for most of the time.
I bought the game on steam and everytime after press play it just switches back to play as if i never opened the game. I tried everything. literally everything and still nothing works.
But whats even worse is the customer support, they couldnt even help me with the most basic thing.
( i bought the bundle for like 13 euros and i can play nothing. No battlefont 2. No battlefield 1 and V. Nothing of it works)

Hey @ConerZ,
You indeed need to use the EA app when claiming/wanting to play a game via the EA Play that you get via Xbox Game Pass.
If the EA app uninstalls Origin, you should be able to manually install it again and use both on your system. You can't use both at the same time, one has to be manually shut down before you can start the other. - 3 years ago
We all purchased the game through origin. My problem is the same issues. I bought the game but EA *snip* app probably thinks I don't own it. Is there a way to refresh the licenses?
CM edit: no need to be rude.

Good morning,
I got the Game Pass Ultimate from Microsoft and I had downloaded Battlefield V but without playing it... Today I bought Battlefield V on Steam and it crashes as soon as it starts... What to do ? - EA_Leeuw3 years ago

Hey @sicca-ameria,
Having multiple versions of the same game installed on the same system, but via different launchers, can cause these sorts of issues. I would recommend uninstalling the BFV Xbox Game Pass version and after that performing a Repair of the BFV Steam version to see if that fixes the issue for you. - 3 years ago
Alright. I had done all of the previous steps other people had. I eventually unlinked onedrive from my computer and it started right up. No problems what so ever. Please try this step if you haven't!!!!

Hey @bruskyiv,
OneDrive could indeed be causing this as well, as the Setting folder for BFV is located in the Documents folder and it is possible that OneDrive is constantly trying to sync that folder.
Many thanks for sharing this workaround that solved the issue for you. - 3 years ago
I just did a fresh windows install and installed EA and BFV and the same error comes up "Get an app to open this 'com.epicgames.launcher' Link Your PC doesn't have an app that can open this link. Try looking for a compatible app in the microsoft store.
Should we stop asking for help or is something going to get fixed?
