Battlefield I and V movement bug

I have a problem with the BF I and V movement bug, before I can play Bf v very well everything is okay but after I've installed Windows 11 I found a problem with controlling with mouse and keyboard, After I walk and start press Shift to run it will stop running and stop in a moment it's happened with shooting a gun and call for reviving too as spamming key as crazy so it's happening with bf I too.

-No problem with my Controller but I can't play with it

-I have to reinstall BF V after found a problem 5-6 times

  • Unfortunately, we don't support Windows 11 for Battlefield 1 & V. With that said, there may be unintended side effects of using un supported systems and hardware and in-game functions not working as intended. Windows 11 is still in the early days, so it will take some time for games and programs to get adopted to work by games companies and Microsoft.

  • Guys. I found out how to fix this. You have to disable origin in game overlay. Apparently turn off the overlay in Origin setting doesn't work because when I press shift+F1 the overlay still show up in game. You have to go to Origin installation folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and delete/rename the file called igo64.dll.

@Tali-Zorah2 This -does- fix the issue, however it also disables playing with squadmates because the origin overlay is disabled, so can't send/receive invites in game.
  • Wondering if you ever got a fix for this, I'm having the same issue. Disabling Origin overlay fixes the problem but then I can't join invites from my friends in game. So it's not a workable solution.

  • Well, the alternative method is download and use the new EA Play app. It doesn't have this movement bug like Origin.

@Tali-Zorah2 Thanks for the advice. I did try this, but Battlefield is not showing up in my EA App for some reason. I just bought it on steam last week, but it will only open through origin. Hopefully their support team can help to figure it out.

@GoodManMew EA app don't currently support games that been bought on other platforms.

Its why it starts Origin lite.

  • Ok, follow-up to this with a solution I found in THIS THREAD with credit to user wiseolddude :

    "(in the Origin app)

Application settings>overlay>disabled  (doesn't work and the game still has the overlay)

    Game>properties>disable  overlay>this works."

So right clicking BF V in Origin, selecting Game Properties, and disabling Origin In-Game from there, successfully disables the overlay. This also successfully resolves the movement bug without sacrificing my ability to join a squad with friends.

This solution works for Steam users.
