So I got my code this morning and I tried for ages to redeem but kept getting an error. Now I can't even link my origin because I have ' tried too many times'. Its been 3 hours still doesn't work but I can receive a code to login on the origin website and application without getting the issue of trying too many times. Thanks in advance.

Usually, after many attempts of this kind, you should wait about 12 hours, but you can try these steps:
-clear Origin cache https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
-clear the browser cache: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clearing-your-browsers-cache
-restart your machine and try
