Battlefield V disabling all audio on PC

While launching Battlefield V from EA Access I've run into a bug that disables all sound from my PC, i.e. discord, spotify, system sounds etc. I launch the game and sound plays for roughly 5 seconds on main loading screen then all incoming sound being played on my PC is disabled at the same time, including Battlefield itself. I fixed it previously by disabling Origin's in-game overlays and features, but just had an Origin update this morning and the problem is back. I've also temporarily resolved the issue in the past by deleting all Battlefield V files stored on my PC, but that would only fix the issue on that load-up, and if I returned to my desktop the issue would come back as soon as I opened the game up again. I've looked through and tried fixes listed on the forums, including uninstalling the game, checking to see if there are any boxes checked for manipulating the sound coming through my headphones, and switching between surround sound and 3D headphones configurations in Battlefield itself. Nothing is working, and it baffles me that it's disrupting all audio on my PC. I haven't had any issues with any other games downloaded through EA Access, just Battlefield V. I've also made sure all drivers are up to date, and that Windows is functioning correctly.

  • Hey @bloodthirstyfly  BFV uses the default sound of windows so make sure that the correct out put is markerad as default.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂
