Battlefield V Missing Letters Or Challenges (Guide/Fix)
Hi everyone! I've noticed that a lot of people are currently experiencing an issue with missing letters or challenges not being credited to their account when completed.
Below are the steps involved to fix this issue. It's a bit technical but I promise I'll try to make it as simple as possible!
- Close the game down, Edit: and go into Origin and find Battlefield V.
- Click the cog icon and go into game properties. Click 'Cloud Saves' at the top, and untick 'enable cloud saves'.
- This will stop Origin from auto-syncing your details to the cloud copy.
- Next, open up your My Documents folder. Navigate to 'Battlefield V', then 'Settings' - the full file path is:C:\Users\\Documents\Battlefield V\settings Grab all of the files in there, there should be 6, and move them to your desktop or somewhere else safe to keep them for later.
- These files are your user 'profile', which contains all of your settings and certain details regarding the singleplayer. By removing these files you'll force the game to regenerate new copies when you reboot the game. Note that this means you'll temporarily lose all of your settings, and you'll have to replay the 'introduction' mission as well.
- After you finish the introduction mission play through the war story and collect the letters and challenges that aren't in your account. You only need to collect the challenges or letter you don't have. Once finished there's two outcomes:
- For the Unique Reward awarded for full completion (such as the melee weapons and last tiger tank skin) check the armory and it should be in there
- For the Letters once you complete the act you should be able to see that the letters are completed, if not don't worry you should have it already in our main account
- Next close the game, go to the new files that you created in the folder and delete them, then take the saved files and put them back in the folder. Once you relog into the game you should have the desired item(s).
