Battlefield V Not launching from steam via ea app

I have battlefield V through an ea play subscription on steam, but since updating to the ea app it has not launched, each time I try the ea app gives the error message "an error on our end caused the...

you need to remove the "start as administrator" from the bfv.exe

So I removed it, now the ea app has changed to saying "you don't have access" when I launch the game, despite me owning/having access to the game on both steam and ea. This seems like an improvement, any other suggestions?
