BF V Broken leveling system in CA Mode

My Friends and I bought BF V last night. We put a couple of hours into Combined arms mode then went off to bed. Signed back in this morning only to find out most of our progress had been erased. Decided to play more anyway. The following games progress was deleted upon exiting the Map or leaving the mode.  We decided to play Multiplayer mode and struggled to find matchmaking success in any reasonable amount of time. With now almost 8 hours into the game and Near Zero Progress in the leveling system it is quite frustrating and dispiriting to continue to play.  Considering it requires XP to unlock more powerful weapons this seems to be an unplayable game at this time. Is anyone else experiencing these issues. And have EA and or Dice made a plan to address them.
