Hey @siliconplains
Are you still in need of some help with this?
If you download the GeForce Experience can you have it update to the latest driver for you? - Anonymous7 years ago
I have geforce experience. Nvidia has not released a newer driver for my type of card. Apparently they release drivers for gaming cards but not professional graphics cards like I have last week. So that does not help, but thank you for commenting.

Hi @siliconplains and welcome to Answers HQ!
I have not tried this personally but it's a known workaround for Frostbite Nvidia driver checks so it's probably either that or wait for Nvidia to update your professional production graphics card which can take ages.
- Go to: C:\windows\system32\
- Find nvapi64.dll and rename it to something like backupnvapi64.dll.

Alright, I just tried the file renaming. The game loaded so slow then was unplayable. With the previous setup it was fast. It was like the game was using onboard graphics versus the card.

If you have 2 gpu's you should look in the task manager - it should look like this:
you should be able to see, using this, what graphics card is being used.
You might be able to force the game to use your Nvidia card using this:

is this your GPU - Quadro P3200? Nvidia
I would say you should be supported to play BF5?
- VIDEO CARD: DirectX 11.0 Compatible video card with 2 GB VRAM (AMD Radeon HD 7850 / nVidia GeForce GTX 660) - Minimum.
It should hold up - but it just may not be supported. As you said, drivers dependant. How specific are DICE with the channel - does it have to be GTX/Radeon?

Yes guys, I WAS supported by BF5 and BF5 worked until the driver release 3 days ago. They did not release new p3200 drivers, only for gaming cards. They left my professional card drivers out of the release so now my game won't boot.
- I have the same issue. Bought BF V two weeks ago and haven't played yet as the newest Nvidia driver for my P3200 card is not new enough... EA should fix that. Can't be that they require drivers that aren't available even in experimental version.

You can not use performance metrics to justify that Quadro cards are within the minimum specifications because Quadro cards are not even mentioned in the specifications which mean all Quadro cards are officially not supported (and with good reason because they are not gaming cards and Nvidia does not treat them as gaming cards). It's like saying monster trucks should be able to participate in the 24 hour Le Mans race just because they have enough horsepower.

Asking Nvidia for a hotfix driver would seem like a more logical way to handle this.
Sure, EA does not write graphic cards drivers. But before they decide what the minimum driver version is, they could check if that driver version is also widely available...
I've also sent a feedback to Nvidia, but in my opinion it's the game programmer who should make sure that the game can be played on brand new computers/laptops.
