BFV disappearing and wanting me to download again!

Battlefied 5 keeps seeming to disappear from my PC, since the latest update.

When I restart my PC I can no longer click on the shortcut to BF5. It wants me to redownload the whole thing again.

I've done this a few times but it's so annoying.

Especially as it's 90gb which is seemingly still saved on my harddisk. 😢

Don't know why it wants me to download it all again.

    I marked BFV as an exception in Avast and how I see it now it worked and everything goes well, but if I have any problem with it in the future I will come here again 🙂

    I have this problem too and if I check the files its like just the application is missing but its want me to download the game again then the download is starting to bug and doesn't download. It's so strange.

    Yes. the avast free antivirus is running. Can it be a problem?

    I have the same issue, when i put up my computer i saw battlefield was uninstalled for some reason, then when i tried to install it, it could not get past 18% it just stopped downloading completely. pls help

    @Werko_Man I would suggest trying to allow Origin and BFV through Avast or temporarily disabling it to see if the problem continues.

    When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm)
    Summarize your bug BF5 missing even though files are downloaded
    How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? how would i know?
    What happens when the bug occurs? never starts and have to reinstall game
    What should be happening instead? it should start the game

    Clicked on BF5 shortcut icon pops up showing  (The item 'bfv.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly)

    I have reinstalled BF5 but it keep happenning, BF5 icon turns into blank paper.

    @JMadMachine To confirm does the launcher (in the installation folder) disappear when this happens?

    Hi, I just experienced this on my bf v game. When I clicked launch on the Steam platform, I was suddenly directed to redownload it, even though I didn't uninstall the game. Is there a solution, bud?
