BSOD Battlefield 5 shortly after launching

Hi,

I am experiencing a Blue Screen very shortly after launching Battlefield 5 with error:-

cmudaxp.sys

as the cause.

This is the sound driver, more specifically the c-media driver for my Asus Xonar DX.

I do vaguely remember this happening some time ago, maybe a year or 2 ago when the Anti-cheat was introduced to BF5, it was fixed when the anti-cheat had an update as have been playing fine for a long time up until a few weeks ago - no other games are affected on my system, but I do recall it affecting BF1 also.


Is there likely to be an update soon to fix this issue?

    go to:-

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield V\EAAntiCheat

    and run the EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe

    then select Update.

    I'm using Asus Xonar D2X sound card, with driver 8.1.8.1823. Do you think this is why BFV and BF1 crashing my PC? Is it incompatible with EA anticheat? And when EA will fix this?

    Hi Nimphas,

    I just uninstalled the Asus sound driver and could play BF5 - no problem, no BSOD, but obviously no sound either.
    Reinstalled the driver and BSOD within 3 mins - I tried every version of the driver and they all cause BSOD, they never used to up until several weeks ago.

    I also use the DX_8_1_8_1823 version.


    Just had 2 hours on 2042 - no issues with the Asus driver on there!

    Hi! I have the same problem.I use xonar Dx and every time when i run battlefield v, i got blue screen.I just reinstall the windows 10 and nothing changes.I not found a solution yet.I see that asus don`t have a recent driver then 8.1.8 1823 version.
