BTF V is convinced i do not have a display driver

Excellent, Q&C again at EA. The only software not starting is Battlefield. BTF 5 "thinks" there is no display driver installed. Yet the regular December WHQL Radeon driver is installed on 7900XTX. A...

    Answering to myself

    Windows 11 installed an ghost card: "Microsoft basic video driver" not active, but stops  BTF 5 from starting. I deleted that driver via gui uninstall option, for me that fixed it. (disclaimer, uninstalling the wrong driver could lead to a crashed/unusable system).

      Also add-on,

      AMD drivers newer than 25.9.2 are notoriously bad. To fully resolve the issue, downgrade to the September WHQL driver was also required. Which the newer drivers, windows will keep on recreating that phantom basic video device, uninstalling it every boot is no fun.
