Can’t connect to ea online for battlefield 5 on Xbox one

I got battlefield 5 yesterday, when I tried to play the game for the first time, it wouldn’t let me connect to the ea online servers. This is very disappointing any ideas on how to fix this? We need ...

    The battlefield should be back up for you to jump into. Thanks for hanging with us while we were resolving some unexpected connectivity issues.

I'm having the same issue now too with both BFV and BF1 on my XBOXX and XBOX1. All subscriptions are current, I don't see that I've been blocked, other games work fine. Cleared the Mac, followed all the steps listed, still a no go. I get the "update needed to play online" but when I hit "A" to update nothing happens. Its very frustrating.

Go to My Games & Apps>Highlight BFV/BF1 and press start>Manage Game>Clear the saved data. Launch the game. 

Let us know if that works.
