Cannot Report Players On Contact EA

There is no longer an option to report players on the Contact EA website (see image) for BFV.

Cheaters are at an all time high and I cannot even report any more.

  • Hi folks,

Sorry for the delay in replying. The comments got lost in a sea of AHQ notifications.😅

We've received similar reports from other titles. Something's changed on the backend. We've flagged it and it's being looked into. In the meantime, using the in-game option to report cheating for BFV will ensure suspicious activity can be flagged directly to the best team for the job.

There's also a way to send in reports using the EA App client:

    1. Open your Friends List.
    2. Click the Add a Friend button. (You won't need to actually add them as friends. This function will simply give the option to search for their profile.)
    3. Search for the ID of the user you want to report.
    4. Click on their name to open the user's Profile.
    5. Click the  beside their profile name.
    6. Select ⚠️ Send Report.
    7. Select why you’re reporting the player.
    8. Tell us where the incident you're reporting happened.
    9. Give us any other additional information that will help us investigate.
    10. Click Submit.

Popped a screenshot below to help highlight how to report a player in the EA App. Please click on the spoiler tag to expand and view it:

Aside from that, there's nothing more I can add, and we can't help process cheating reports on Answers HQ so I'll close the thread. For more information on Battlefield's approach to Anti-Cheat, please see the team's blog & forum post

    Thanks,

    Hi @Stol3n_74

That may be because cheating reports for BFV needs to be sent through the battlelog website according the EA Help article 'Report players for cheating, abuse, or harassment'.

    Try this: <snip>

     That should work.

No, that's incorrect. Battlelog is only for BF4, not BFV.

Ahhh @1bool1, you're right. Thanks for flagging that. I pulled the info from the wrong part of that article.

Sorry about that @Stol3n_74. In the same article "Report players for cheating, abuse, or harassment" under the heading 'Battlefield V and Battlefield 1 - PC' it actually shares this:

    @EA_Help wrote:

To report cheating or harassment (PC only)

    1. Open the Options screen by pressing the Escape (Esc) key.
    2. Open Scoreboard.
    3. Click the player’s persona name.
    4. Choose View Profile.
    5. Click the dropdown next to Send friend request in the EA app in-game overlay.
    6. Choose Report player.
    7. Fill out the required fields.

  • I have reported people through the game. This does nothing. I cannot provide video evidence or screenshots through the game.

How does EA determine if the person is cheating without evidence?

Also, there are times when I cannot click on Profile. I see the button, I click on it, it does nothing. See image.

Is this a bug with the game?

Furthermore, a player has been cheating for the last 2 hours. They were cheating yesterday.

Numerous people have reported this person. They are still playing today. What is the turn around time for removing a cheater?

How does removing an option to report cheaters with evidence align with your strategy for combating cheating in games?

  • Can I get a response to at least one of my questions?

Their strategy has been to make it as difficult to contain the blatant hacking problem as possible while redirecting resources to censoring the problem. The reporting system continues to be the only means available and is just as ineffective as intended. No name and shame, generic copypasta replies and a BFVstats website that points to a huge problem. Youtube videos of blatant cheaters who are still playing to level 500. Lately, they're running the servers, spamming the chat with cheat ads, Redeploying entire servers at will, speed hacking, wall hacking, aim botting, deploying anywhere on the map, and switching classes..... It's really bad.
You come here to get some answers and it's don't say their name and copypasta. It takes a lot of negligence to run a game like this into the ground, they have to be proud of that or it just doesn't make sense what they're doing, or not doing.

    Hi Lanna,

could you comment on if the removal of the submission form on the player report website is a bug or an an intentional change?

it was really helpful because you could attach video evidence which is not possible ingame/via EA app

Better chance of Elvis performing after dinner in your living room than EA responding to your question.

  • @Ashratt Possible they're not banning intentionally. A simple strategy to drive players out of old Battlefields so they buy the new one, which is "supported" until a new one comes out again. EA doesn't hide that they like money more than the player. 🙂
