Can't Connect to ea servers in battlefield v

I can't connect to the ea servers in battlefield v. I've tried all thet known steps like power cycling the xbox and router/modem. When I boot it up it downloads a ui update every time. I reinstalled it as well. I went ahead and checked battlefield 1 and battlefield 4 and I can't connect in those either. It was working a few weeks ago. Really frustrating since I'm missing out on my weekly rewards.

    @ericstifer07,

I would recommend getting in contact with EA Support via live chat, to see if there's any further steps that need to be taken.

    You can contact them here:

    Thanks 🙂

So after an extensive phone call with support (2nd time talking with them) where they were baffled by the problem, they suggested opening ports on the xbox for battlefield and told me to contact my ISP to do so. I didn't really believe this would help so I decided to test if it was indeed my ISP by tethering my xbox to my phone and trying to connect. Once I booted up BFV and logged in, it once again downloaded a UI update and then sent me back to the title screen. Once I relogged I was in! I tested connecting to a TDM game and was able to play, granted it was not a great experience being through a phone, but i was able to get hit markers when I shot people. I left the game. Closed BFV and reconnected to the router. Booted BFV back up and logged in. To my utter disbelief I was able to connect to the servers! Tested connecting to a conquest game and was able to get in.

I'm not sure what changed when I connected to my phone but it fixed my issue. If anyone has any idea I'd love to hear it. I was struggling with this for about 3 weeks. I tested bf1 and still can't connect there but I'm not really concerned about that. Thanks for the the replies trying to help out.

@ericstifer07 I work on PC  only but I do know a few things about internet issues when you do the steps to rest the router posted by @Rusted_Ace2013 please do it this way....

    1- turn off PC/ console

2- Unplug power from modem and router if you have both

3- Leave it unplugged 10 min no less

4- If you have both modem and router then ... After 10 min plug modem back in let it fully boot up. Then plug in router and let it fully boot up.

5- Then turn on PC/ console and see if it helps fix your issue.

Have you been able to connect to online multiplayer on any non-EA games @ericstifer07?

Yeah I have full access to online in other games like halo 5, rocket league, fortnite ect. I even tried out other EA games like burnout remastered and titanfall 2 and have access in those games. It's only the battlefield games that are giving me issues. It's baffling to say the least.

    Hey @ericstifer07,

Are you still experiencing these issues?

Have you tried Clearing your MAC Address, and doing a hard reset on your Console?

Go to Settings ---> Network ---> Advanced Settings ---> Alternate MAC Address ---> Clear

Let us know if this works out for you.

    Thanks 🙂
