Get same issue, but for Xbox One. Have to go to game menu and then resume game.
Same issue for me. At the start of the next round on BF5, My controller is frozen out of the game, but will work for Xbox One. I hit the home button, then hit B to take me into the game's menu which I am then allowed to hit "Redeploy" So my character dies and then I am able to start the game with full control.
