DX12 Crashing every single game

Product: Battlefield V
Platform:PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
AMD or Nvidia Model Number Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti
Enter RAM memory size in GB 32Gb
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer
Which part of the mode? Airborne
Please select your region Europe
On which server did this happen? Every single one
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) Every time I play
Summarize your bug Every game I play it exits back to the desktop with no error message.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have an RTX card and play with DX12 enabled
What happens when the bug occurs? Game exits back to desktop with no error message
What should be happening instead? I can play the game

So for some reason, the previous bug report I posted got labelled as solved. The solution submitted was to turn off DX12!! That is not a solution, that is basically turning off a capability of the game, especially as this is supposed to be a flagship use of RTX and DLSS.

If the solution to all the bugs in here was to just not do whatever created the bug then nothing would ever get solved.

Every game I  play I get somewhere between 5 - 20 mins in before it pauses, and then exits to the desktop as if I'd requested it to quite. I have an error in windows event viewer as shown below that appears every time. I'm running a fully water-cooled 8 core rig @4.6Ghz on all cores that is stable in every other game I have, as well as every stress test I've run, including the new 3DMark RTX test. This is all paired with an RTX 2080Ti (fully water-cooled) and 32Gb RAM...

Would be great to have an actual solution, please! DxDiag and Msinfo attached

Cheers

Steve

  • Same Here, since the latest update DX12 is unplayable - always crashing.

    My Specs:

MB: Asus Z370 ROG Maximus X Hero WI-FI AC
CPU: Intel Core I7 8700K (4.8Ghz All Cores)
Video: EVGA RTX 2080 XC Ultra @ 418.91
    Memory: Corsair Vengence 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz
Monitor: Dell Gaming S2716DG with Gsync 27.0"
    PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 G2 750 W
HDD: Samsung 840Pro SSD 256GB; ADATA Ultimate SU800 SSD 512GB
    OS: Windows 10 x64 Pro 1809(build 17763.316)

  • My exception code is slightly different (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
    0x887A0006), otherwise the same.

I've been having this problem since they implemented the RTX update. I've tried with DLSS on and off and it crashes in both cases.

Interesting link also, it is very similar to the issue that I'm having, and one of the replies was with the same windows event error. I had read somewhere about not using the XMP profiles in BIOS and inputting the setting manually, so I'm going to try that. I might also try to up my VCore rather than leaving it on auto, which works for everything else!! hopefully I'll get a chance to fiddle over the weekend, but I'd rather just be able to play the game!!

  • So after spending some time doing another round of stress test and changing the bios to manually input the RAM profiles I still have no luck!! I thought I was onto something as I managed to get almost 25 mins into a match before it quit.

I'm now so fed up with trying to find a solution I'm just going to uninstall it and request a refund. especially as no one is listening or wants to try to help, unless it is to say, turn all your graphics setting off. How is it I can play other DX12 games with RTX and have no issues!!

    Anywhoo, cheers all.

  • Good luck trying to get a refund - If EA would refund everyone because of this issue - they would be bankrupt.

The game was basically not finished at launch, still is, so this is basically a development effort that AE is doing while live to customers that paid for a product and got 1/2 of it.

This should be a lesson to us all to not buy anything from AE until it matures enough (and its worth 50% less - like happened with BFV).

Anthem is having similar issues, and Apex Legends (although is free) is plagued with bugs and issues.
