EA anticheat is messed up

Game crashes to desktop with out any error message. For each crash there is application error visible in windows event log stating:

The description for Event ID 1 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

EAAntiCheatService
ExitType: 115 (37)

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

Same problem and same error also with BF2042. I've tried so far:

- reinstalled EA app multiple times

- repaired, uninstalled/installed EA anticheat multiple times

- reinstalled BF / verified game files multiple times

- tried launching EA app, BF, anticheat with admin priviledges

- Clean booting Win11 did not help

Running out of ideas here..

Any hints/tips on fixing this this issue are appreciated, thanks

  • Well I finally figured it out. My mouse Roccat Tyon installs a virtual controller called "Virtual XInput Device". After disabling this both BFV and BF2024 are working again.

I hope this might help someone else struggling with this world class anticheat and its completely useless error messages and debugging options.

  • Same problem, cant play the gamę since month, tried everything

  • No, unfortunately nothing seems to help. It's a real shame that games that earlier worked just fine are now unplayable and there is no real support to rely on..

Need to avoid EA titles in the future

  • had the same problem and fixed it with enabling secure boot in bios
