Error Code: 5 (PC)
When I click "join friend conquest tile" I get this:
FAILED TO JOIN SQUAD
The squad is now full. Error code: 5
and
When I go into Friends tab and join a squad with open slots, I get this:
FAILED TO JOIN SQUAD
The squad is now full. Error code: 5
Methods used to try to fix:
1. Cleared Origin Cache (%programdata%>Origin>delete) >reboot>open origin (let it load up and boot into game) - error still exist
2. Repaired game - error still exist
3. Went into testing range and that successfully loaded
4. Searched a conquest match to see if I'm able to get into a conquest queue - it worked, I successfully got into a queue
5. I then exit the queue and went back to friends tab and tried to join one of my friends again - it worked and the error code: 5 didn't show up this time.
Yet due to my other issue of "Double Map Loading Icon" (reported in the bug section), I was forced to exit the game and the error still occurred.
So, looks like I found a fast workaround but the error still occurs when I boot the game back up.

This seems to happen when your friend is in a Squad that's already full.
Have you tried to have them create a new squad, and then join on them? Are you getting the same error?
And also, the double loading Icon and getting stuck is a known issue still, hopefully this will be resolved soon.
