You was just lucky. I keep getting 1 shot which is ridiculous. At least infantry can be revived on the ground. As a pilot you just booom die to some fkin noob.....
How about we compromise? Not that these changes would be implemented necessarily, but as a neat thought experiment... especially given how polarizing people's opinions on the fliegerfaust is. How about a 15% damage nerf with only a very slight reduction in the blast radius.

My biggest complain is: you should NOT be able to get one shot. That's ridiculous.
To use this gun you need no skill. Just hide in the bushes where noone can see you can fire away when an aircraft is close.
No warning sing, no flairs, no any sort of counter measures, you are just GONE.
On the other hand as a pilot you have to put in the time to learn how to fly (minimum 30 hours to call it somewhat decent); you have to wait for the plane to spawn, take off, look out for enemy aircraft, AA and only if everything is clear you can think of engaging the ground where many time you don't even see infantry move, you just guess...... this level of effort should be rewarded.
Infantry CAN be revived and they usually are... pilots CANNOT be revived at all........ think about that.

As far as the old maps go: I had no issues getting sufficient kills and surviving with the bombers, sure it took more caution and lots of repairs but it was doable. I don't really want to fly fighters because they are too vulnerable to the Fliegerfaust.

On the new maps: if you are defending, you can fly somewhat safely with the Zeros, since all AA, infantry and pilots will be attacking the US pilots who have basically no chance.
I'm level 4 on my Zero planes and level 0 on Corsairs. Not a big fan for this balance.

I would add to the reload time to the Fliegerfaust so no guy could shoot twice with this deadly gun and I would also reduce the damage by 50%. Yes, 50%. If tanks can take 4 panzerfaust shots and not blow up, planes should be able to take 2 and still survive.

I like the idea of a longer reload time. But I think that 50% is too much of a nerf. I say, a longer reload time, 15% damage nerf, and no change to the blast radius.
- 6 years ago@SterlingARCH3R 15% is too low with the current range and no damage drop off. As I posted before you could:
1. Reduce the range from 300m to say 150m (similar to the panzerfoust) I dont think anyone would really complain about the immense damage as the only people being killed would be those who go that low to begin with or,
2. Keep the range at 300m but have a heavy drop off of damage passed to where it does something like 10% - 20% damage to aircraft at max range - 6 years ago
I wonder if any developers are listening at all or we are just talking with each other :-/

The Fliegerfaust's round is an explosive right? So, I don't think that it would make sense for the round to decrease in its damage over distance. You may have a case for limiting the range of the fliegerfaust, but it's an anti air weapon and it needs to have a good range. That's why a damage nerf may make more logical sense.

Yeah and 50% is not an overstatement.... today I tried using it on the start of Iwo Jima as a defender. I took down all 3 airplanes one-by-one with 1 shots.
This is ridiculous.I seriously don't think these maps were designed with this weapon in mind.
On the old maps it's a bit different because people usually take bombers which have a bit more health and can survive the 1 shot.
But still I don't see why fighters need to be punished vs bombers. - 6 years ago
If you want to save your team's a$$ from an good pilot, do them a favor by learning how to fly and give the other pilot a challenge in air-to-air combat.

i agree this thing needs to be nerfed. when i fly and get kill by this at full health btw without any noticed that it was shot at me
it too powerful even flak cannons cant take you out that fast
