Footsteps & Instant Deaths

Struggling to hear running footsteps, may as well have earplugs in, I need to use my senses. Also when I kill someone with a Gewehr 43, I know this is a 3 shot kill, maybe two with a body then a head shot, why do people kill me with one shot with this weapon, I haven't got time to evade, subsequent incoming shots. These issues need immediate attention from Dice, I am enjoying the game, but it's starting to really grate on me these problems, I may even get to a point where I don't wanna play anymore. SORT THE FOOTSTEP AUDIO AND INSTANT DEATH ISSUE, I wanna hear someone running at me and know from the first shot whether I've been hit or not, and not just instantly Die.

  • The footstep issue seems to differ from person to person. I was participating in FNB the other day and killed tons of people trying to sneak up on me. They are aware of this issue and it should hopefully be sorted out soon.

Technically you aren't dying instantly, it just appears that way due to the netcode infrastructure. This is the TTD(Time To Die/Death) issue you keep hearing about. I can assure you the devs are working hard to fix this in addition to other TTK (Time To Kill) feedback sent their way.

  • Onlything I have noticed, is getting hit once and my character Flinching and the sound playing DURING the followup shots. While my character doesnt react to the 2nd and 3rd shot.

I think this is to remove character spasming and twitching. Which previous BF games had. (Where your character flinches rapidly and sound blares sounding bad as its being restarted repeatedly till you Die or move.

I like this move as it allows me to react without my character having a seizure like CoD and Previous BF games (1,3,4)
