FPS locked at 75

No matter what settings I change, the game will not run at over 75 fps. I have vsync off and the fps cap set to 200. My main monitor is 165Hz. I have a 6700xt and a r5 3600. Any ideas how to fix this?

I think you know that, but I still tell you, you need to to advanced display settings in Windowsd and set your refresh rate.

But you not going to see much of a difference in Battlefield anyway when it comes to FPS, I feel like FPS in this game isnt that important like it can be in Apex or Overwatch. I have 75Hz, but I still willingly play BF5 at 60Hz and rather have a nicer graphics settings, because its whats Battlefield about. Its about best graphic and sound which will make you enjoy the game more than with low/medium settings at 165Hz.

Yeah, I have the refresh rate set to 165 in windows and other games work as expected. The game does not drop below 75fps on high so I assume it can run quite high framerate with good graphics too. Also the difference between 165 and 75 is significant and feels ALOT better. I would say the difference between 75 and 165 is similar to the difference between 40 and 60.

Just go for Ultra or even higher Resolution if you can, just enjoy what this game has to offer. The best thing BF5 can offer is its amazing graphics.

Save your 165Hz for more competitive games like Apex or Overwatch. 🙂

Would be a waste going for lower details in BF5.

    Hello, @CptGuac

I looked around and the first thing I found talking about something similar was someone having an update issue with Windows 10 that causes variable refresh to cause an issue with Battlefield 5.

Here is the link to that article. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-1/I-m-Stuck-at-60-FPS-on-a-144-Hz-Monitor/td-p/6696929

Also, I would definitely try to figure out how to get 165 hz over 75, that low frame rate would drive me crazy! Anyways hope you get it fixed.

I don't agree with sticking with higher graphical settings myself over FPS, but each their own. I think the higher the frame rate the more immersive the game gets. 60 - 75 hz is nauseating, I can't even use my desktop anymore below 145hz.
