Give medic ARs and semi-automatic rifles

Question

What do you think about giving the Medic ARs and semi-autoamtic rifles?

The class would perform well on close to far medium range.

Then give the assault class the SMGs.

The assaults have to play more close quarter as the should actually do for killing vehicles.

This would fix two problems:

1) The few medics on the battlefield.

2) Better performing of the class specific tasks of the the assault.

I think they should make semi-auto rifles available to both medic and assault classes, this allows either class to choose from different play styles according to the map and circumstances. Of course, they should balance the weapons accordingly if this happens

Medics already love stealing Assault weapons, your idea just makes them gods by default.

SMGs need to reign supreme at CQC which they still don't since a stg44 or ke7 can still shred them even if they didnt get the first shot in.

Lmgs and assault rifles need all hip fire perks removed and semi autos like the Gewehr need less control/more recoil
