Battlefield V won't launch from Steam - EA App "Preparing Game"
I was originally getting an error for "incompatible version" so I uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App and uninstalled and reinstalled BF5 in Steam. Now whenever I try launching the game, I get a popup from the EA App that says "Preparing Game" and then Steam begins validating the files. The popup disappears and whenever Steam finishes validating the files, nothing happens. The game doesn't launch and there aren't error messages or anything. Really frustrated that I can't play a game that I paid money for.

To fix this, try clearing the EA App cache from the settings, ensure all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables are installed, and clean the registry by deleting MyACI Login the Battlefield V folder under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games using regedit. If that doesn't work, reinstall the EA App from the official EA website.
