@flyinghorse101 I’ll check on the server. I’m simply selecting the Tides of War missions; the game should know which server is appropriate to connect. Internet speeds are 200mbps down and 10mbps up. I can disconnect and instantly reconnect and resolve the issue. It is just the first match/server after loading the game. Something pegs me to a server with high ping.

@MajorASCII Yes so it's server region matching issue. Have the same .
I nowadays use the server browser to choose server with normal ping.

@flyinghorse101You are correct Crazy. The first server selected was in Germany. This is still a bug as I’m relatively sure EA didn’t design the game to pick a server halfway around the world where there are plenty in region.
EA Dev Team.. first match server selection is broken- 5 years ago@MajorASCII This happened to me all the time. That´s why I´m only using the server browser now.
I feel like this might as well be one of the reasons, why 30-50% of the server population has a 100+ ms ping on pretty much every server I join. - ElliotLH5 years agoHero+@MajorASCII Quick match has been problematic for a long time. When it works it's great but in my experience it has a habit of connecting you to OOR servers or empty ones. The server browser is the way to go.

It also is more related now in breakthrough due to the change of balance. So after a match, finding games comes in bringing you on servers all around the globe.
On top of that like last night all available servers where full with lots of guys in queue's.
I find my way in this game, though it's definitely buggy
