High Ping to Asia Pacific 230+ from AU
High Ping to Asia Pacific 230+ from AU
I reside in Melb and play Battlefield V in the Asia Pacific region and have been since its release. My ping to the Asia Pacific region is normally 80/90, however, for the last two weeks it's been over 230 - which is unplayable for an FPS game.
The issue started when BFV had a hard crash about two weeks ago.
As I thought there was something wrong with my system, I conducted the following to fix these issues:
1. updated drivers,
2. reset modem,
3. run net adapter repair software
4. reinstall the EA games application, and
5. reinstall the game (Battlefield V)
-None of the above processes have worked-
Additionally, since the original email to EA help I have also logged to my account via another computer and the high ping still exists. So, it appears the high ping issues are linked to the EA app or BFV.
I have also completed all the trouble shooting points from the EA help site, no luck
Normally my ping to
Singapore is 80/90
Japan is 150/160; however,
Right now my ping to both locations (Singapore and Japan) is 220/230+, which suggests to me there's is something wrong with the routing to the regions, as they should not be reading the same ping in different locations, and the ping is too high regardless.
I have reviewed the EA help forums on this issue and other than switching off one drive, (which has lowered it - it is still too high) there no other help available.
Is there a way to check / reset ping to the regions via the EA app? Any assistance with this issue is appreciated.
