@KatzeKaiseri think the game is not much about historical accuracy as we see with all this fighting female characters! Karbolmäuschen, Funk- and Flakhelferinnnen you also won't find in BF V.
I can see how historical accuracy is unimportant, but allowing for folks to play other races when playing on the German side would not only be historically accurate, but the diversity offered from the German military would be more inclusive for players from other races.
- @KatzeKaiser Well, you pretty much copied that from what OP said.
I felt I had to reiterate some of what I said, as it was not addressed. I am still searching for the answer as to why I am unable to play as a different race (closer to my own) on the German side.

You have this question, yet my question is why we have a WW2 game with no Soviet Union. I win.

Technically speaking, BFV was their take/spin on WWII and was never intended to be 100% historically and realistically accurate at all.
My guess is it was just easier for visibility/target acquisition. That said, Axis and Japanese soldiers can play together (at least in the Pacific) For the first trailer we got how they want this game, trought an unrealistic point of view, they prefered to target a younger market like little boys playing fornite and cod ,and have in mind the "political correctness" that is going on today and since the 2010s, they cant put a waffen ss soldier because of that(even if it´s realistic) instead of that, for example using a bosnian, black soldier as a medic they prefered to give you the option of using a black small woman with a long coat, thats the immersion you get of ww2 from this game.
