Matchmaking issues

So what exactly is the deal with matchmaking in this game, so it randomly put players on one side, or is there some kind of algorithm that makes the teams completely unbalanced and keeps them like that the whole match?

I’ve been through matches when players who clearly have more experience than a new player, remain on one side with the same players and completely dominating every single match without any team changing at all. Was Battlefield 1’s auto-team balance feature removed or ditched which is why the multiplayer is like this from now on, because if so, it clearly ruins the fun of the game and makes it a chore to end up in a match knowing you’re gonna lose, and you can’t do much to contribute to a match because you’re being overwhelmed by all these rank 500 players who’ve played this game longer than you think.

Not that EA will ever decide to fix this because the game  is long past them, but the least anyone can do is fix it so new players who want to play this game can enjoy without the worry of professional players never giving them a chance to actually play the game.
