Have this issue too, but also in other places outside. It seems like I am dropping ammo, but there is nothing visible. I can do this 1-2 times and then the 3 times there is an ammo crate visible. 

Running PC, happend after recent path.

    I have personally observed this happening on any surface in game on any map.
