PC PLAYERS – HACKING ISSUES & TEAM BALANCE ELECTION – DICE NEEDS TO ACT
*Issue One: Overwhelming Hacker Encounters on Battlefield V for PC*
ATTENTION DICE, whatever the current “anti-cheat” methods are being used for Battlefield V on PC, they are incredibly insufficient.
I’m a part of a gaming family (8 Separate Origin Accounts) as well as a part of a greater community that has been enjoying Battlefield titles since 2002, and we all agree that the cheating on Battlefield V for PC has become extremely overwhelming. During gameplay within just the last 24 hours, we’ve encountered several suspicious players that individually cleared entire servers. In fact, just before typing this, we had decided to call it quits after encountering a support class player who scored 100+ kills and only had 4 deaths all while bragging and taunting the rest of the server over chat openly admitting that they had purchased and were using aim-assist software online to cheat with.
As I’ve increasingly been doing lately, I reported him but suspect little to nothing will be done as others blatant hackers I’ve reported recently, can still be seen playing…and assumingly still cheating…
Something more needs to be done to rid the community of these server clearing cheaters, as they are increasingly strangling the fun for the rest of us, and ultimately causing players to look elsewhere to spend their game time altogether.
*Issue Two: Team Balance / In-Game Player Elections*
For decades, the use of tools for players to voluntarily “Switch Teams”, “Vote for Next Map”, and “Vote to Kick/Ban” have supported servers and communities on titles produced in nearly every genre imaginable. However, for some reason, any and all of these features appear to have been entirely neglected during the design and deployment of Battlefield V on PC. At first, we thought that perhaps they were simply an oversight that would be added later after the initial release. The game has been out over a year at this point, and yet not even one of these basic, game balancing features have been added to the game…
Many times, if it is not a hacker tanking the server population, it’s players being crushed from poor game balance. Anyone on PC who has played their share has experienced logging on to a server and finding their team being absolutely crushed. At a mere glance at the score board the explanation isn’t far as the odds can sometimes be worse than 2 to 1. I had the misfortunate experience of joining a game just the other day that was 17 VS 31.
Even if the game code itself doesn’t forcefully push people over to the loosing team, I believe the just implementing an option for players to switch teams would go a long way. If players of significant skill and score decide to switch teams to assist the loosing team, perhaps the system can be programmed to grant them a minor boon or small bonus of company coins at the end of the match for volunteering to switch to the loosing team of shorter population.
Anything is better than nothing, and so far over the course of the year, I’ve sadly only seen the latter of those two…
DICE, please implement options for players to switch teams in game as well as to vote for the next map in cycle, as well as the ability to vote kick / ban suspicious players or those who are generally toxic (people who are AFK / or drive tanks in circles at spawn) out of the game.
*Summary*
Not even adding additional maps, guns, vehicles, or true content to us at this point. Those things are neat, but the game in its current condition is clearly broken / incomplete and needs some serious correction. Even on PC, hackers should not be able to cheat openly on a server of 128 players and the other 127 of us not be able to do anything about it… At the least, allow an option to vote kick/ban players from current sessions that the majority of the server agrees needs to go. What harm could come from this?!
Please advise if this can be done, and if so when it could be added, as you are facing a very unhappy community of long-time loyal gamers and we’ve about had it with the systemic server clearing issues that appear to us to be completely overlooked over a year after the release of Battlefield V on PC.

DICE - Add an in game system for the following:
1) Vote Kick/Ban Player from Current Session.
2) Vote for Next Map in Rotation at End of Round.
3) An Option to Elect to Switch Teams - At the Least When the Other Team is Shorted Players.
Even if the anti-cheat system in play now can't be improved, merely adding the option for a vote kick/ban from the server majority should be more than sufficient to help solve most of the "server clearing cheaters".

100% agree with this.
Upvoting this BIG TIME! This needs to be added to PC immediately.

Hello @SockDaniels , @StormageddonGurl
If you see any cheater / hacker , please use this link -> https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/report-players-for-cheating-abuse-and-harassment/
Also be sure to check this thread by EA_Atic -> https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Megathread-BFV-and-Cheating-Discussion/m-p/8269567#M9826
We can't do something about cheaters / hackers here on AHQ Forum.. Thanks for understanding. 🙂 - 6 years ago
These are great ideas. I never thought of rewarding a player for switching to the losing team. It would be great to give squad leaders the option to switch teams and take the squad with them, then reward the whole squad.
VOTEKICK: Someone getting mad at a good player may generate a vote or two, but a genuine hacker will generate enough votes for sure and be kicked. If this was possible, players could police hackers themselves.
MAPVOTE: I really don't like this system in BF1. I have found that many like and dislike very different maps and gameplay, however on BF1 when certain maps come up, like Neville Nights I believe, it never wins and I really like that map.
