Melee weapon damage stats

So I’ve been experimenting with different melee weapons and I have to say, the game doesn’t really help when it comes to actually telling you how much damage you do with each. (Some of these may not be accurate but are still close to it.)

Sharp objects such as Machete, Bolo-Guna, Pickaxe, etc, all do about 45 damage a hit, but are slow when it comes to spamming the melee button.

Blunt objects Club, Baseball bat, cricket bat, etc, do about 35 damage and hit faster.

Then there’s knives which become trivial when I used them, for some reason some like combat knifes, do about 35 per hit, but there are some that do 27 which I realized is the broken bottle, British Jack knife, etc.

I’m not sure if knives have a different property to them depending which on you use, but it’s a little frustrating when you think you’ll get a guaranteed takedown only to then have to get a 27 enemy hit and not initiate a melee kill animation.

  • As far as I know, V is the exact same as BF1.

Knives are the fastest and weakest at 33ish per hit. These have the largest melee takedown radius.
Clubs and other "medium" weapons like the pickaxe are a mix at 45 damage per (these are the worst weapons imo)
Large weapons are the slowest but hit for 60 making them (in my opinion) the best weapons for tag collecting.

Certain medium and large weapons allow you to also break wire and wood as well.

It's possible you initiated hit modifier for hitting the head or a hand/leg, that sort of thing - weapons shouldn't do more/less damage than others in the same category
