MMGs and incendiary rounds
Hello everyone, first thread on this forum. I haven't found another, so i decided to make a new one...
I wanted to talk about the MMGs incendiary rounds. I think that these could be a bit more effective against fighters and bombers. Today i had a rare occasion to fire an almost whole VGO magazine(60 bullets) into an enemy plane and i did whooping 28 damage. This was a rare situation, because he was flying very slowly. Most of planes don't stay in place and move fast, it is difficult to hit them, so i think that increasing their damage from 0,5 hp(it seems they deal so much damage) to 1 damage point per bullet would be a good idea. It would make weapons like MG42, M1922 MG and VGO more effective against planes. It is hard to kill a bomber with one fliegerfaust salvo, you have to be very skilled or very lucky, and that small change would help to finish them off, before they fly away. Support class could take some work from assaults, which could focus more on combating tanks.
Not to mention, that in order to take incendiary rounds, you cannot equip improved weapon cooling(which is great), so incendiary rounds should be better, for that reason too.
It would also increase popularity of those weapons, because i don't see them used(so i see, you may have a different experiences).I rarely get killed by an MMG user.
After 200 hours of playing i have managed to destroy a bomber with an MMG twice. Once with M1922 MG, once with VGO. A breaking moment in my BF V carrer.(lol)
I played a lot in BF1(over 800 hours), and i was flying as a bomber, have several hundred kills, so i know what a joy it is to destroy a fully manned tank.😉 But if its going about planes in BF V i have mixed feelings. I think they are too powerful, especially on some maps. I play mainly conquest and almost completely gave up on maps like Iwojima or Al-Sundan.
Killing a tank with several soldiers around by one big bomb is meh.😞
One could say, that current tools for combating planes would be sufficient, if there would be somekind of teamwork, but... sometimes it doesn't seem that way.
