Multiplayer/online access
I bought a BFV BluRay for my PS4 at a retail outlet. Do I need a PS4+ account to play online or multiplayer? Is there a code on the packaging that gives me access or am I stuck in single player? Newb...
You will need a PS+ subscription to play multiplayer but you can play offline without it. You will, however, need an internet connection to install the day 1 patches.
Also keep in mind they had to make it so you need an internet connection to track all offline challenges properly (weird right?) since they give you special unlocks for multiplayer.
If you are using a brand new PS4 there should be a voucher somewhere in the box for roughly 1 week of free PS+ access
