New TTK is Better than you thought!

Recently I played Conquest with the old TTK, which btw is Awesome that we can choose weather to play a playlist with or without the new patch. I was on the fence about the new changes, so I wanted to go back and see if I could even tell the difference. I’m a casual gamer but I take the Battlefield seriously. I was getting down VERY fast in the old TTK game modes.

Went back to the current updates modes and realized that not only do your opponents have a health buff, but realize that You also have that health buff in a sense. Being able to take a hit and hav the time to React changes the entire way I experienced the game. Try both playlists and let me know your opinions too please. See you on the Battlefield!

  • New TTK does give you slightly longer to react which is great but it has broken thr Medic class and semi-autos like crazy.

My biggest issue is this is only a minor fix and didn't address the main problems which were visibility and TTD but I also think new TTK is a great launching point for future tweaks when it comes to gun balance.

Few tweaks to SMGs and Semi Auto Rifles and this could be amazing

  • For me the only weapons that needed adjusting was the semi autos up close. They need to be less powerful in close quarters. They really should have just balanced things first instead of just rolling out a ttk update. Fix bugs first!

I was one of the people they were trying to reach with the new TTK. I started on like the 10th, and I was getting my * kicked, and I had no idea what I was doing wrong. I kept at it, and soon was I was living longer and having a fighting chance. Once I found out what they did to TTK, I was kind of happy, but killing others sucked now too.

They have since decided to go back to the old TTK. I don't like that idea either. So MY suggestion is they could have the longer TTK for newbies either under level 5, or under 10 hours of play, or something like that. Then once you have been given a chance to get into the flow, the TTK gets harder.

It's kind of like bowling. If you suck, your handicap can let you compete with the skilled bowlers. The better you get, the lower the handicap gets. This way the total points are usually pretty close.

  • Going forward towards realism and a semi-hardcore settings was a good decision IMHO. I think BF should become THE war simulator since it is the most realistic by far, and an almost real life like Hardcore mode would be awesome. The new TTK wich as brought back the jumping players that run&gun eliminating any realism sensation. I think this new low TTK shooter mode should be the option, and the old TTK the default mode. I will also ad a realistic hardcore mode without hub or map, with FF and recharging bullet loss. The closest possible to the "real" thing and the simulation that BF is meant to become. Any thoughts on this possibility? ^_^ Don't you think it would be great?
