Anyone else whose account has been nulled after not playing the game for ages? I remember being something Colonel last time I played years ago when the game was brand new, but today when I installed...

It is the same account. The only thing that has changed is my nick, otherwise the very same EA account has been used.
If it's due to my nick, then it's low end bs behaviour from their end!
It's definitely not because of the nickname, the only step I can recommend is that you talk to EA support. As I have said previously, EA has a strict policy on this, so do not expect much with EA support.
