Q:Origin Access Premier unlocks transfer to standard PC retail?

Hello,
Reason I am making a topic of my own if two fold. A reference to quote and a further point of discussion for PC players who discover that EA has specifically blocked Deluxe Edition sales from retailers such as GAME.

The only real option to get all benefits I can see is to sub to Premier for early access and unlocks, then go to GAME for standard edition as they are offering £10 off straight away AND £5 back as I am elite member. That drops standard to £40 total...

The question many friends keep asking however is how these Origin Access unlocks actually work?

Will they be retracted on completion of the subscription? Are they tied to the account once purchased in full? Do we still get the 20 Airlift items after a month? What about those special Assignments after a month?

I find EA very hard to find accurate information, moreso with their history and even more so with the vagueness of the Origin Access T&C's.

I would rather not pay £15 for only 1 months access when I could drop 5 days early access, but pickup deluxe upgrade for lifetime benefits if indeed not permanent from Origin Access.

Way too many If,Buts and maybes >.<

Thank you.

  • Hey @SplitCoreGaming,

Thanks for the questions. I won't be able to answerers all the questions for you but will try my best.

We currently said so far that Progressions, stats and anything that you have in your inventory will be there when you go from Origin Access Basic/Premier to Deluxe edition or Standard. The general rule of tum for Origin Access Basic or Premier is when you stop subscribing to either of the subscription models you lose access to the game if you don't owe the games your self.

I know that's not necessarily all the specific information that you are looking for.

    /Atic

Thanks for the reply. BFV is in a rather grey area.
I can live without the drops, yet at same time there is no information on how exclusive the items are, or what purpose they even serve. Hell we ain't even seen Firestorm demo yet...
Deluxe Edition Special Assignments & 20 weekly items with Airlift can easily be argued to not 'be' in your inventory after the month, even though the permission itself would arguably be so...
I will have a deep think about it.
