[QUICK HELP PLEASE] Installing Battlefield V

Can I get some quick help please. I was having issues regarding Battlefield V where the game would hard crash my PC. Today I reinstalled windows 10 and I want to install Battlefield V.

I have a few concerns and questions.

When I first installed Battlefield V (before windows 10 installation today). I installed Battlefield V on my secondary hard drive in a custom made Origin Games folder. Can this cause any problems?

I know that the original C drive has a Program Files and Program Files (x84) folder in it upon installing windows. Is it recommended to install in these folders?

My C drive is a 224GB SSD and my F drive is an 1TB HDD. Windows is installed on my SSD (C drive) and my F drive (HDD) is empty.

Can I just create an Origin Folder on my F drive and install Battlefield V in that folder? Or may that cause issues?

And if a Program Files folder is mandatory for optimal performance and minimal issues (because of rights within the folder) how do I make one for my F drive?

Thanks in advance!

  • @EMPRR-NL Hello,

Please attach your DxDiag to your message here in this topic.  How to create DxDiag.

I recommend you to install Origin client on the system local disk, the disk where is your Windows installed. This will help to avoid different compatibility issues between your system and Origin. Also, always run Origin as Administrator.

Now you can install games and it doesn't matter where you install them, they should work fine.

I'm not sure your issues caused by this. Could you please describe your issue as much as possible ? What happening exactly? Any error messages? Anything? Any info would be helpful.

    Thanks!
