Re: 1070 max-q HORRIBLE performance

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I installed the October Windows 10 update, and this unfortunately did not help.

I am still getting frame dips to about 25fps at times.

I have tried with future frame rendering both off and on.

GPU and CPU usage is still only around 60-70%.

I am using the recommendation optimal settings, as per Geforce experience.

I have tried with all the settings on low, and this does not help my framerate issues.

Any advice?

  • Which are your entire PC specifications?
This is obvious but I'm gonna ask anyway; have you updated your graphics drivers to the latest version?
There was a new driver released a couple days ago.

    Hi, thanks for your response.

My setup is an MSI GS65.

    Intel I7-8750H

    GTX 1070 max-q

    16Gb 2666mhz RAM

I am running the latest version 1809 of Windows.

My Nvidia driver is the latest game ready driver 416.94.

As a matter of interest, I launched BF1 and I am getting 80% CPU usage, 95-100% GPU usage. Everything maxed out on ultra and 90fps solid. No dips.

BFV, doesn't matter what settings I use, I cant get above 55fps with dips in the 20s. 50-60% GPU usage.

    Open to any other suggestions.

    I am playing in 1080p 144hz.

My CPU usage is not particularly high at 60-80%.
