Re: Battlefield V Loyalty Discount Question

I am having this same problem. There is no banner in game which offers the 50% discount mentioned. Going to the store in game does not offer the discount automatically either. I contacted the support line and they offered me a 15% discount instead because they say they did not know about it in advance. Then they told me to post my problem in the forums so a developer can reach out, what a mess.

I have played the Battlefield Series since  BF 1942, but was not going to purchase BF 5. A 50% discount would change my mind about that decision, but not if I have to spend significant time hunting down what was otherwise promised, via a chat center in India.

Priya: Nice to meet you Brandon.
Priya: It seems you’re experiencing some issues with Origin. Could you tell me more about it?
you: Yes, i received an email for the Battlefield 5 50% off loyalty offer. But the offer is not available when i log into BF4 of BF1 as instructed
Priya: Thanks for Elaborating the issue for better understanding.
Priya: Thanks for your question. I can totally understand your love for the game but 50% discount code was provided by studio team to the players who are eligible for it as a surprise and to be very honest with you even we are not informed about the criteria behind it. But please do not worry as the promotion is till going on , so you might get it afterwards. But for now I can help you with 7 days free origin access by which you can enjoy BF V 10 hours trial for free.
you: Thanks, but im not interested in this. I was not going to purchase BF5. However a 50% makes it worth my while to do so. Without the discount offered I am not going to purchase it
you: Who can i contact to resolve this issue if you cannot assist me?
Priya: I have provided the information from my end, but .You are our valuable Player and the part of the EA family,So I would like to provide you the 50% discount code.
Priya: Would that be fine ?
Priya: I am sorry, MY bad.
you: that would be fine. Im not asking for more than was offered. Thank you.
Priya: I'll be able to provide you the 15% code.
Priya: Pardon Please, We do have only option for 15% discount code.
Priya: Shall I proceed ?
you: Priya, no. I was offered a 50% discount on the purchase price in game, which ends in a few days. I followed the instructions and they do not work. Then I contacted you for assistance, and if you cannot help thats OK. But I am not going to use a 15% discount when a 50% was offered!
Priya: Don't worry, as I have informed that promotion is still going on.
Priya: So Please wait for sometime you will get the discount of 50%.
you: Can you provide me with contact information for the person or office that can deliver what was promised to me?
Priya: May I know the name of that person and information ?
you: Thats what I am asking you for.
you: I received the email from [edit: email address removed]
Priya: Okay! I am providing you the link so that you will be able to contact Developers directly.
you: Thank you
Priya: Please refer this link:-  https://www.ea.com/forums
Priya: Post your query here developers will contact you directly.
you: Ok, thank you

Update: Cannot seem to find a resolution to this issue still. However, Amazon and Gamestop seem to be offering the game at the same 50% discount online, regardless of past EA gameplay. I purchased the game through gamestop for the same discounted price and NO HASSLE. I recommend purchasing elsewhere if you are still interested, Origin clearly sucks...

  • It's so sad to see EA/Origin not even be able to run their own promotion. I just thought this was one of those emails to incentivize people to buy their new product, saying that they've been a loyal member but I'm not sure how they know if I am a loyal member. Seeing as how EA has been treating their consumers lately, 50% off seemed like a fair price for their new game. I cannot find it using any of their stated methods, so I'll be proceeding with VenomousCat's recommendation in purchasing it elsewhere. I couldn't find the deal on Amazon but I found it on GameStop.

Also, thank you for sharing your conversation with support. I found it quite interesting that they didn't even know about the promo and tried to offer you all this other stuff we never wanted.
