Hey @cuervo0045 and @West_End_1989
Let us know if these help get this fixed for you:- Confirm all drivers are updated: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/pc-graphics-troubleshooting/#updatedrivers
- Check your audio settings for Windows. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/No-sound-bf5-for-PC/m-p/7171292/highlight/true#M1220
- Right-click on BFV and select "repair."
None of these solutions worked for me.
As mentioned, all sound is working for everything except squad mate microphone communication in Battlefield V.
They can hear me, but I cannot hear them.Seems to be a common issue.
Is there a fix coming?- EA_Blueberry7 years ago

The team is looking to gather some more information on this as it's been difficult to reproduce by the QA team.
Does this fix it for you? Also, are you running anything else in the background like Discord? I've seen that interfere with sound at times.https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/VOIP-BFV/m-p/7168084/highlight/true#M881
Can you list the steps leading up to when this happens for you? Next time it happens, if you can record a clip in game of the last 5 minutes and post it here that would be exceptionally helpful.
I've previously viewed that thread and I already had the recommended changes implemented.
I am not running anything in background except Steel Series Engine for my headphones, but I experience no issues when using other apps.
Attached is video as requested.
Please advise a solution when possible.
https://youtu.be/wDdynzUJthsI'm having the same issue with my arctis pro headphones.
Any luck with solving this?
Getting very frustrated with the issue.I had voip going through my monitor speakers. Fixed it:
Look in Origin settings make sure it is set to your settings.
Go into the Windows audio settings and disable all other speakers and mic's you aren't using.
This fixed the voip going through the monitor speakers and it works fine now.
I have the exact same problem and I'm using Steelseries Engine 3 with Arctis 3, My squad mates can hear me clearly but I cannot hear them at all, Discord works fine, all other sound works fine except BFV VOIP. As for BF1 and BF4 the VOIP works just fine with the Steelseries Engine 3 but BFV Duh!!!!
When can we expect a fix to this problem?!?!?!?!?! When When When When, Why no reply to this thread?!?!?!?!

Does VOIP work if you assign the command to a different key or close down Discord while you're playing? We've had the team look into this but they're having some trouble reproducing this. We aren't seeing a significant amount of reports on this indicating a game issue, so it could be related to a hardware configuration. Have you tried making some minor changes from the Volume Mixer from your desktop sound icon?
Tried running just Origin and BFV without Discord, tried binding VOIP to a different key, tried repairing BFV, tried uninstalling/reinstall BFV, tried Volume Mixer, tried Disabling all other sound devices except Speakers, tried running BFV without the SSE3 software...........Still the same story............Others can head me, I can't hear them but game volume decreases when they speak.
What else can I do? Uninstall Steelseries Engine 3??!?!?!?!?!?!
I'm totally out of idea, what else should I try?

Have you gone into your Windows audio settings to select the correct device? Another player with Steelseries fixed it by doing that.
https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/172036/anyone-else-have-voip-issues
I've included some screenshots of my Audio settings, as you can see it's all Default.....if you were to google BFV VOIP Others can hear me but I can't hear them, then you'll know many others are experiencing the same problem. BF1, BF4 VOIP works fine, just BFV is bugged!
Make sure that:
1) Your Mic is set to the default device for Recording
2) In Origin | Settings | Voice, make sure that the Output is to the speakers you want to hear VOIP on (Mine was defaulting to the HDMI output - which I don't use)I have the same problem but instead i can't talk but i can hear other people. All my setting and software are perfectly fine.
I'm having the same issue with my Hyper X headphones. Other squad members hear me perfectly but for some reason their voice chat is going through my monitor speakers. I have done the suggested fixes but it's hasnt fixed the issue. On a positive note, I am digging Firestorm... but not being able to hear squad members sucks hard.
Two observations on my side (PC):
1. VOIP works fine in all other modes (other than firestorm)
2. There are rounds on firestorm where everything is fine - the squadmates hear me - I hear them. In others rounds it is not working.
Within the C:\Documents\Battlefield V\Settings\PROFSAVE_profile document that everyone should have, there is an option at the very top called GstAudio.AudioQuality. This is, as I have found, an independent variable outside of the normal HI-FI, War Tapes, Headphones, etc options that are available to us. Mine was defaulted to 1, and I changed this to 4. Instantly, all my sound glitches are COMPLETELY gone, and I am enjoying this game immensely now.
"Go into the Windows audio settings and disable all other speakers and mic's you aren't using."
I can confirm that this method works 100% on PC.
3 of my clanmates had the same issue and we looked through this forum and applied this method.
waalaaa, we all can hear each other now.I was able to fix this by hitting WIN + G and learning the WINDOWS PRIVACY setting is blocking the mic. youy have to enable it for the XBOX parts...
- @cuervo0045 I have the same issue. It's quite frustrating. Has it been resolved for you?
