Re: BFV no longer starts! HELP!

I actually think it your actual PC.

Considering your PC is not built for gaming but instead a workstation, so in all honestly I think the game is not designed or coded to your hardware so that is where your problem lies.

Sorry man.

  • Its not the machine, i'm using the same setup but with 24 cores, 96gb ram and a Quadro K5200 and the Issue is to do with supported Nvidia Clients the most recent client for Quadro is 4.11 and the minimum for the game is 4.16 which is only available to geforce graphics cards at present.

Current Quadro Driver versions in image - new one should be due out soon, looks like a new one every month.

ROB_IRWIN497 is correct. That is the exact error I got.

I actually installed the 416.94 driver and it did work for a while, then the latest patch destroyed that hope.

Went back to 411.95 and I can run the old BF games but not BFV.

I said screw it and went out and bought a XFX - AMD Radeon RX 580 GTS Black Edition 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card
    Model:RX-580P8DBDR

It installed easy (good thing it came with a dual 6-pin to single 8-pin adapter!) and I can run the game now. The card is physically huge.

Gameplay is still (surprisingly) sort of choppy. I'm using all default settings on graphics card and game so maybe that's got something to do with it.

Thinking of turning the card up to a higher clock rate of 1450MHz and see if that makes a difference.

    Thanks for eveyone's help!
