I’m having the same issue on PS4 and have tried everything below individually and in combinations, none of it has fixed the problem which started with the February patch that came with the Hannut operation (think it was late Feb):
- Reset router
- power cycle PS4 for 15 mins to flush the cache
- Delete system data for BF5
- restore licences
- uninstall and reinstall the game
- changed my DNS settings
- Put my PS4 I. The DMZ on my home network (essentially super port forwarding where all traffic directed to the PS4 is let through with no scrutiny).
nothing has been a permanent fix, the only ‘work around’ is that I have to delete the BF5 system data EVERY TIME I want to play the game but that means playing the opening cinematic mission every time and changing all of my settings back to the way I like them... EVERY TIME. I have no issues with any other game, nothing about my network has changed to cause this issue, I use a wired connnection that regularly gets ~30Mbps down and ~3 up. I love this game, I enjoy playing it but I have to go through this routine every time it,any, as soon as I close the game down I will have to delete the data the next time I want to play, even if that is a matter of seconds later (yes, I have tried that!).
i suspect this isn’t affecting a significant proportion of the player base but the fact remains that for those it is affecting, the game is broken, maybe not unplayable but certainly not the experience I payed for. I have spoken to online help 4/5 times and I the last advisor I spoke to said he would log it as a fault that needing fixing, that’s all well and good but I have heard nothing and would at least appreciate knowing whether or not this is being looked at.
