Yes, to me the description is also confusing.
"At melee range" I understand it as I can kill my enemy with any weapon but it has to be within let's say 3 meters.
But isn't a melee kill also a kill at melee range?
I am pretty sure I also dropped some enemies spraying bullets "at melee range", but the count is still 0.
