Well, EA chose to implement a bonkers "AI" filter that cancels everything that could even very very distantly, remotely be perceived as inappropriate.
The current solution, wich is extremely hypocrite for an adult shooter where the devs implemented all kinds of taunts for the ingame characters and where you use flamethrowers to burn your enemies to death, is an extremely annoying dead end street.
Let's assume you have username "John". If at any point in time "John" or "a John" is becoming a meme or curse or whatever in whatever language or dialect it will be banned as well.
So even if you would want to change your username which some people have for decades on multiple gaming platforms to a seemingly very neutral username, next week that new username could be deemed inappropriate as well. Should we then again change our usernames ?
We can only hope that EA/Dice will finally take responsibility. Otherwise, and I have BF2042 in mind too, this will not end well for the franchise.
Furthermore it is also very annoying that you don't get a message why you are banned / can't chat no more and including a proper route to appeal.
So I am appealing to the staff here to undo my unreasonable chat ban.
