Re: In-game Chat Filter Feedback.

One way to test out what is wrong with your name is to go the following.

Go to Platoons and try and create one with your name in it. Using trial and error you will be able to validate what part of your name is now unacceptable. My clan tag which is in every name I have used for the past 20 years (F8S) was recently added to this horrible filter. The only response you will get is change your name. The problem with that is that every time you change your name it might be good but when the filter AI adapts again and decides another part of your name is unacceptable you will be forced to change it again. It is a broken filter. The should have added every player name and clan tag to their filter exemption table so it would do this. I am refusing to change my name. I have received ZERO help from EA.

I would juts be confused if it's the actual name now if he says it worked before just fine.

But yeah if changes have been made to the sensibility of that filter, it could be.

Otherwise i would have thought of his Clan Tag if this has been changed recently.

My clan tag F8S has been in my name and is now blocked. The problem with blocking anything that as time goes on what is allowed to be typed will get so small that chatting will no longer be a thing

Hm, so if that got blocked now later on.

It could be possible that newer changes might influence the name of him as well.

Exactly. each time the chat filter is updated either via the A/I or dev's player names that are currently acceptable all of a sudden through no fault of their own get blocked from chatting. I have had my clan tag F8S in my name for 23 years. Asking me or anybody else to change their gaming tag causes real issues with other parts of the gaming world like validating that is who you are.

The easy answer is to have a developer spend 30 minutes and put the player name table into an exclusion rule so those names or any portion there of can't be filtered.

Well, we'll see what might be an issue if the person who has th problem response here.

If he recently changes his clan tag or no, otherwise it might be his actual name there. If they changed something again.

If you're ingame in the BFV menu on PC press "ESC" and then choose Platoons.

If you got to platoons and try to create one, if it shows an error when creating platoon (not any offensive things) then there might be a conflict with your name itself.

If it let's you create one, you name should be ok i guss.

But did you recently change the platoon? Maybe you can try to not represent it to get rid of the platoon tag and see if you can type again in chat.

I can see why but it's pretty weak. The filter really needs to be better. In fact in this case I'm surprised chump wasn't the problem 

@METALH3AD that sad to hear, but as apparently this part of your name seems to be the problem then you probably have to change it if you want to type in the ingame chat again.

Cause i guess they'll change this filter again just for your name. 😳

So from something like this I don't forsee myself buying another game from origin/ EA.

I am in the same boat, my clan tag that I have had in my name for 2 decades "F8S" is flagged by the stupid AI. I  am unable to type anything. EA needs to disable this AI and fix it once and for all. In fact last night while playing Hardcore on one of the few USA HC servers I was attacking a flag from afar with a big gun. It his the building and blew it apart killing 3 team mates. I could not tell them I am sorry. In fact failure to apologize can get you banned.

Fix this already!
