Contacted the support two times today because of the issue, the first one said the discount was only available inside the game menu
Second one said it was a one time deal, if you click it and cancel you lose it. After questioning if it was not a time limited deal, he said that it's valid until 08/12.
After more questioning about the apparent random rules of the sale, he told me sometimes when people logout from origin and login again the discount may appear, what didn't work.
Finally he instructed me to try the logout/login again later, and gave me the 7 days trial for Origin access with the 10h trial for BFV as compensation.
He said that he would give me discount if he could, but there is nothing he can do about it.
After chatting with support, they suggested I provide my feedback on the forums since they were unable to provide any direction.
I understand that BFV is now 50% for veteran players. I qualify deeply under that scenario as I've owned every battlefield title since the series started. However, it appears I made the mistake of purchasing the game 2 weeks ago. Ok, no big deal...if I bought something at Walmart and 2 weeks later they drop the price, I just wander in with the receipt and they adjust. It appears that EA support has no direction on reacting similar to veteran players. This seems to show a disregard to veteran players that keep up with the series. If I had known it was going to drop to half off just 2 weeks in, I'd have probably waited. I think it would have been more respectful to come out of the gate with such a promotion. I like the game, but come on guys, this haphazard marketing leaves a bad taste.
They just don't do anything... what a shame!! Already tried contacting them 3 times, no responses at all. Some friends bought it in the promotion... the only thing i have knowledge is that the Discount is real, but not showing for many people (like me). Do something about it EA! At least give us information.
