A decent workaround many people have found useful is to have 3/4 (or less) special assignments on the go. The free slot seems to internally load your current ToW assignment for better tracking.

    no progress after 2150 points - also only got 2 special assignments on the go - one of which is to complete a Tides of war scenario which I have done, it says it is completed but no XP issued and still showing??? Sort it out EA
