I'm happy to report that I've recently noticed the exact opposite with Firestorm lately .
The very delightful trend that I've noticed as a regular traveler to Halvoy seems to be an increased , renewed interest in it by others .
Five rounds in a row on this Wednesday past ; starting around 11AM (EST) which is earlier than is usual for a weekday ; did start off with just 11 Players in the first round but by the fifth round there were 33 of us in there .
This could be being caused by too-few-to-choose-from , low-population regular servers drawing more Players into Firestorm during their off-peak weekday hours .
If this is true , it's reasonable to think that an oppositely vast number of highly-populated servers during the weekend and weekday peak hours actually draws away potential Firestorm Players , making it look "dead" .
Even 'That Which Can't Be Mentioned' seems to have abated a little bit there too , with only two observed instances of 'Duo-ism' in Solo , plus that one guy who was a little bit too psychic for my tastes ; in over 20 or so of my most recent rounds . - @tempo_rarity if there is an increase in FS players lately I think a community server option like the OP wants would actually dilute the player base due to the extremely low player count of the mode.
