Just did some testing and can confirm its still happening. It seems to be when you try to connect directly to the server when its full. I tried from the drop down on the front page, the server info from an origin friends, and through the browser. I can connect when joining directly off a friend though. I'm in est and joining an east coast server. I've included a video of the connection fails.
@EA_Kent i forgot to add if there are free slots the browser will let you connect directly, and just clicking on join friends on the front page instead of the server drop down still connects you too.
Community ManagerHave you had a chance to try any sort of troubleshooting at all since it started happening? It is strange that it's not happening when there are open slots, but it sounds like something is causing the connection to time out when you're trying to join the server. A good place to start would be the general connection troubleshooting steps over on EA Help.
I'd also recommend trying the PC-specific steps as well if you're still having trouble joining afterward.

I was just filing this out as a bug report since it only started in 5.2. I'm still able to connect via the friends list as a work around to connecting manually to the server. Since the patch I've heard tons of people in my communities voice comms have this issue that hasn't happened before. Since everyone is trying to manually connect off the main server number when they login for the day. We have 20-30 people active in a server a round so every round or 2 I hear someone with the same issue.
