Summarize your bug Sinds the release of BFV the smoke has been a handy tool to hide in as medic and save downed teammates. But the smoke itself has a few problems. 1. smoke is totally gone just seconds after a givin time period after activation this feels very unnatural 2. smoke is not semi-transparant and objects moving trough it pop in view just on the border of it 3. Smoke also seems to induce massive LAG spikes and jumpy animation behavior
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. look at smoke and see how it disappears out of the blue leaving an unnatural feeling of smoke-cover 2. drop smoke and have some units move trough it and see they are not visible even on the edge of the smoke border 3. run FPS counter and see units jumping in view about 1-2 seconds later
What happens when the bug occurs? unplayable illogically buildup 3D world with 'star trek like' warp in place enemies
What should be happening instead? smooth smoke that gradually reduces over time and is semi transparant

1. look at smoke and see how it disappears out of the blue leaving an unnatural feeling of smoke-cover
2. drop smoke and have some units move trough it and see they are not visible even on the edge of the smoke border
3. run FPS counter and see units jumping in view about 1-2 seconds later
tecnical note:
to not make the smoke transparency not to heavy on the CPU maybe using coordinated smoke density (20% / 40% etc.) going stronger if in the center of the smoke deployment?
